TAKE TWO - EPISODE ONE

the one where I obsess over Romeo Gigli, share my current fall must have products / wishes, and tell all about where I will be slinging vintage this holiday season

If there's one thing you need to know about me, it's that I am a list maker. Wishlists, To-Do lists, ideas on post it notes lists, the list is never ending (literally). I decided to take this obsession with list making and turn it into a visual documentation. Perhaps something we can both gather inspiration from, but don’t worry, it’ll only take two minutes of your time (except I’m not counting).

1. Romeo Gigli

I am not one for designer labels. It’s the obscure shit that usually gets me going…that’s until I dove down the Romeo Gigli rabbit hole. Italian designer most famed in the 80s and 90s and my god is the man a genius. If he’s Romeo, I want to be Juliet. My specific obsession is with his S/S 1990 collection. Iridescence, masterful layering, shoulder duster earrings, everything that my fashion dreams are made of.

2. Menswear

I can’t get enough of menswear styling these days! Newsboy hats, vests, ties, collared shirts, it’s becoming my everyday go to. Beth of BJonesStyle is a genius and total inspiration, but here is some other assorted inspiration below!

3. My Favorite Vintage Piece I Saw This Week

thinking about making this a series because I see a LOT of things in the vintage space, and some things really live rent free in my mind for all of eternity. This week it was the most insane Oscar De La Renta Hand Dress from the INCREDIBLE Female Hysteria Vintage. Get used to seeing that name because she is constantly posting mind melting pieces.

4. The Lipstick I Always Reach For

Another fun fact about me, I make beauty videos for a fabulous online all natural beauty boutique Integrity Botanicals. The nature of this job allows me to try a LOT of new beauty products (yes I am saying I have a dedicated lipstick drawer) and Whitethorn from Rituel de Fille is the one that I am addicted to. It is the perfect semi-sheer peachy pink color, ultra comfortable to wear, and never clings to my dry lips that are only increasingly drying out as we creep into winter. TRUST ME!

5. A Poem

One of my all time favorite Instagram pages is actually a poetry page by the name of @poetryisnotaluxury. This specific poem is one that hit home. Heart ache for me always has an intense physical aspect for me and this poem does the most incredible job at describing the feeling. By the incredible Ada Limón.
